Five talking points ahead of Arsenal's Champions League 'Mission Impossible' against Monaco

Arsenal tackle Monaco on Tuesday night needing to overturn a 3-1 deficit from the first leg to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.

Here, Press Association Sport's Jim van Wijk takes a look at some of the big questions ahead of the European tie at the Stade Louis II Stadium.

1. Take a gamble and go for broke?

The odds are stacked against the Gunners achieving what no side has done before in the Champions League - going into the away leg needing to score more than once to avoid elimination, and that against a Monaco side which did not concede at all during the group stages. However, manager Arsene Wenger certainly has the firepower available to pull it off. Finding the right balance between defence and all out, gung ho attack will be crucial, because concede another on the break like they did at the Emirates Stadium three weeks ago, and it really will be game over.
