04 August 2009 14:45
Portsmouth executive chairman Peter Storrie has delivered the grim news to Pompey fans that the club cannot refuse offers on any of it's players. Sulaiman Al Fahim's proposed takeover was supposed to solve all of the financial issues at Fratton Park but, as Alexandre Gaydamak remains in charge the club cannot safeguard their top players With striker Peter Crouch already out the door to Spurs, what could follow is a fire sale to cover the debts the business  has hanging over them. Sportsmail takes a look at how likely and what it will cost for Portsmouth's top players to leave. Utaka joined Portsmouth on a four-year deal in July 2007, for a fee of around £7m but the Nigerian forward hasn't  been a huge hit since his arrival at Fratton Park and is a likely candidate to depart. Has pledged his future to Pompey but manager Paul Hart could use the funds from a potential sale to buy a player who can improve on Utaka's record of six goals in 48 appearances. Who's interested?: Bolton, Hull City and Birmingham. How much?: £8m. NIKO KRANJCAR The Croatian midfielder joined in 2006 and is rated as Pompey's best player but therefore, most likely to leave. Has been linked with several moves away from the south coast, including a move last summer to Monaco. The 24 year old's contract doesn't expire until next year and the player has publicly stated his desire for  Champions League football...don't they all. Who's interested?: Arsenal, Everton and Aston Villa. How much?: £12m. DAVID JAMES He changes clubs more often than hairstyles so it would come as no surprise if James made another move at  this summer. Has recently pledged his future to Portsmouth, stating: 'my intention is to see out the World Cup and the following  season,'  but the keeper, who turned 40 this week, could be tempted by a move to White Hart Lane to be reunited with Harry Redknapp who is still undecided over Heurelho Gomes. Who's interested?: Tottenam and Aston Villa. How much?: £1.5m Joined on a  free in May 2007 and is another of the many players brought in by Harry Redknapp who are now angling for moves. Linked with Aston Villa who require a centre back after the retirement of Martin Laursen and departure of Zat Knight  to Bolton. Also linked with a move to Liverpool this summer. A possible return to Manchester City has been mooted too. Who's interested?: Liverpool, Manchester City Aston Villa or Tottenham. How much?: £4m. PAPA BOUBA DIOPPromised to shake up Premier League football on his arrival in England but the man they call 'The Wardrobe' could get  hung up on a move to Everton if David Moyes rekindles his desire to sign the player. The Senegalese midfielder claims he is happy at Fratton Park and has a year left on his contract but, as the exodus continues, he could be tempted to jump ship too. Who's interested?: Everton, Blackburn and Sunderland. How much?: £5m.   His time at Pompey will never be described as a success. Just three goals since £7million arrival from Preston in 2007. Remarkably he received an England call up and scored...if you can call it his goal, tapping the goal-bound shot an inch before it rolled over the line. Who's interested?: Erm...How much?: Have you got a penny jar?
