Final decision with Stokes
06 Jan 2007 - 08:39:36
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that teenage striker Anthony Stokes will be allowed to decide on his future, with several clubs interested in his services.
The 18-year-old shot to prominence in netting 16 goals in 18 games while on loan at Falkirk, but is currently back with the Gunners, with Celtic, Charlton Athletic and Sunderland thought to be on his trail.
Wenger told reporters: "Nothing is decided because there are some other clubs in for him. In the end it will be Stokes who makes the choice."
"We have a congestion of strikers and it is very unfair just to stop somebody because we have too much congestion in front of him."
Stokes has not featured for the Gunners first team and could yet opt to return to Falkirk after his recent success in the SPL.
