Fagan: Gunners in for tough test

Hull stunned the Gunners by pulling off a shock 2-1 win on their first visit to the Emirates Stadium in the top-flight last year.[LNB]On that occasion the newly-promoted Tigers had the element of surprise on their side, something long since lost, but Fagan also draws encouragement from Hull's performance in the sides' stormy FA Cup tie in March.[LNB]Arsenal won that quarter-final 2-1 but had things far from easy in a game that ended with tempers frayed.[LNB]Fagan said: "We don't let teams have a second on the ball.[LNB]"I don't think they were impressed by that - Arsenal like to try to play football.[LNB]"We are not doing anything untoward, we are just closing down and making it hard for them.[LNB]"Maybe they expect we are meant to stand off but we are going impose our game on them.[LNB]"I am sure they will be ready for it this time but it is a big game for us and we want to give a good account of ourselves like we did last time."[LNB]The cup tie ended in claims and recriminations after Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas, who had not played in the match, went onto the pitch after the final whistle.[LNB]Fabregas was accused of spitting at Hull assistant boss Brian Horton but a Football Association investigation found Arsenal had no case answer.[LNB]Ironically, Fabregas will again not be playing due to injury but Fagan insists the past incidents are all forgotten and there will be no follow-up tonight.[LNB]"It's obvious people were on the pitch that shouldn't have been," said the 27-year-old.[LNB]"But I think it was mainly because we ran them close. Maybe they expected it their own way.[LNB]"But it is a new game Saturday, and I can't see it all happening again."[LNB]Fagan might feel he has his own point to prove to manager Phil Brown on Saturday night after spurning a glorious chance in last week's goalless draw with Blackburn.[LNB]Fagan, handed a starting berth up front ahead of Jozy Altidore and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, failed to beat goalkeeper Paul Robinson when put through one on one. He insists the incident does not bother him.[LNB]Fagan said: "He is an England goalie.[LNB]"It could have gone in against anyone else but you have to put it in the corner a bit better than I did.[LNB]"But it hasn't burdened me, I haven't thought about it.[LNB]"I just move on to the next chance and I'll put it away."[LNB][LNB]
