Fabregas slams Adebayor

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has added to the controversy surrounding Emmanuel Adebayor by saying that he thought the Manchester City striker should have been sent off during last Saturday's incident-packed clash between the two teams.
The Togo international has been banned for three matches after stamping on Gunners star Robin van Persie during City's 4-2 victory and is still to face an improper conduct charge for his celebrations after scoring his team's third goal.
He ran the full length of the pitch towards the away supporters who responded by throwing items at him.
However, Fabregas has now said that Adebayor should have been handed a red card for a rash challenge on him during the match.
"I think this is a red card here. I was lucky my foot was in the air when it happened. You know this is football and it can happen," said the Spain international.
"All I tried to do when he was at Arsenal was to create opportunities for him to score. So I think I didn't do too bad for him.
"It is a bit strange. It is football and we don't think about him anymore. He doesn't play for Arsenal and we just have to concentrate on our game and our play."
