Fabregas ready for Spain role
25 Apr 2010 - 10:47:10
Spain and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas is adamant he will be fit and raring to go for his country at this summer's World Cup finals, despite suffering a cracked fibula at the end of March.
He picked up the injury playing for the Gunners in their Champions League quarter-finals first leg 2-2 draw with Barcelona and he has no doubt he will be ready to answer to coach Vicente del Bosque's call.
He said: "I am back in Spain at the moment, but will return to London for a specialist appointment and routine scan in the next few days.
"I will be at the last Arsenal game of the season, of course, because all the players will go on a lap of the pitch to thank the fans for their support again this season.
"After that, I will return to Spain for the rest of my rehabilitation, then get ready for the World Cup.
"In my mind, it is 100 per cent that I will be over my injury in time for the World Cup."
