Fabregas content to stay
06 Sep 2007 - 15:31:12
Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has reiterated his desire to stay at the Emirates Stadium and insists he has no intention of moving to Real Madrid.
The 20-year-old says he turned down the opportunity to move to Real in the summer, and is happy with his decision.
Real president Ramon Calderon and sporting director Predrag Mijatovic attempted to persuade the youngster to move to the Santiago Bernabeu, but Fabregas turned down their advances.
"They seem to me two very good and very sincere people," he said.
"But in the end I decided to stay with Arsenal. I go 100 per cent with the decision that I took.
"In the future I do not know what is going to happen. I am very contented with the decision that I took."
Fabregas made his Gunners debut during the 2004-05 campaign and has already appeared in 159 games for the club.
