Fabregas won't get carried away
Two goals by Fabregas and strikes by Samir Nasri and Abou Diaby gave the Gunners a 4-0 lead and although Jeremain Lens pulled one back with eight minutes left, it was nothing more than a consolation.[LNB]It means Arsenal have now scored 18 goals in the last five home games and are top of Group H.[LNB]Although Standard Liege's victory over Olympiacos means Arsene Wenger's men can still mathematically be overtaken, it would seem their progression will be confirmed when the Belgians visit north London in two weeks.[LNB]Fabregas, though, refused to take anything for granted and told Sky Sports 2: "It is not definite so we'll have to keep working until the end.[LNB]"Even if we had qualified today we would have wanted to win and have gone for the six points. That is our mentality."[LNB]The Spaniard also insisted Arsenal's form and quality will only count for something if they emerge with a trophy.[LNB]"It's just the beginning of the season, nothing is done, we want to keep going until the end," Fabregas continued.[LNB]"I'll feel it is something special when we win something.[LNB]"We want to win and if we win something at the end we will say we had a good year.[LNB]"We can still do better so we'll try to improve in the next few games."[LNB]Manager Arsene Wenger was clearly proud of his young team. When asked if he felt they were capable of producing something special, the Frenchman said: "I've said that for a long time and we want to show that.[LNB]"Let's keep this attitude and spirit and we can deliver something special.[LNB]"They have a fantastic attitude and great quality and great spirit.[LNB]"I just want to go from strength to strength.[LNB]"I think the team looks more mature, serious when needed and patient."[LNB][LNB]
