Fabregas seeking Spain game time

Spain star Cesc Fabregas says he wants to be more involved in his country's World Cup exploits ahead of their semi-final clash with Germany.[LNB] The Spaniards are preparing for their last-four date against Germany on Wednesday and the Arsenal man has been restricted to appearances off the bench for his country.[LNB]And the midfielder admits his cameos have made it difficult for him to enjoy participating in the South African showpiece so far.[LNB]Fabregas said: "All I want is to play football. It's the semi-final of the biggest tournament in the world and I just want to play. I want to enjoy things and do well for the team and show everyone how I can play."[LNB]Manager Vicente del Bosque's sparing use of the schemer gives an indication of the strength in depth his team possess in the midfield department.[LNB]The likes of Sergio Busquets, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, David Silva and Xabi Alonso are some of the names Fabregas has to compete with to earn a starting berth.[LNB]And a lack of fitness - caused by a cracked fibula which ended his season at the Gunners - has hardly helped the Barcelona target in his quest to feature more often.[LNB]The situation has left Fabregas frustrated but he says such feelings do not inhibit him when he gets on the pitch. He added: "When I come on I don't think about that. I feel good. I feel motivated. [LNB]"Of course when you are not playing you have to give even more to get yourself in the team. I needed games. I needed minutes on the pitch. You can train as much as you like, but if you don't play, then you never get your fitness back.[LNB]"Hopefully in the next two games I will feel better. Everyone is really proud of what we have achieved so far, but our aim is obviously to win it."[LNB]Spain are on course to the make the Sunday's final in Johannesburg should they see off the threat of Joachim Low's team in Durban.[LNB]The Germans swept aside Argentina in the quarter-finals and Spain's own passage has seen striker Fernando Torres fail to score in their quest for glory.[LNB]The Liverpool man has often been brought off early by Del Bosque as he struggles to find the net, however Fabregas is confident his colleague can find form for the clash.[LNB]But should he continue to falter, he insists goals can be found elsewhere. [LNB]Fabregas added: "We have other people who can score goals - everyone in our team has a goal in them. Fernando is a very important player for us. He's a strong guy, a big personality, so I'm sure he will be okay."
