Fabregas misses out
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas must serve a one-match suspension at Wigan after picking up his fifth yellow card in Monday night's Barclays Premier League win over Chelsea.
Abou Diaby, fit again after an ankle problem, could start alongside Russian winger Andrey Arshavin, who was an unused substitute against Chelsea.
Striker Marouane Chamakh and centre-back Sebastien Squillaci are also in contention but Thomas Vermaelen (Achilles), goalkeeper Manuel Almunia (ankle) and Kieran Gibbs (ankle) are out.
