EXCLUSIVE: Walcott's England loss is in-form Spurs star Aaron Lennon's gain

Aaron Lennon's stunning early-season form looks set to secure him an England recall, with Theo Walcott unlikely to be fit for international duty. Fabio Capello was at West Ham to see Lennon score Tottenham's winner and complete an electric display last Sunday and plans to be at White Hart Lane to check again on his performance against Birmingham on Saturday. Lennon, 22, was left out of Capello's squad for the friendly against Holland earlier this month. Walcott is struggling to overcome a side strain and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists he will not be available for England's friendly against Slovenia a week on Saturday against Croatia four days later. Capello is ready to accept Wenger's point of view if Walcott is not involved at Manchester United on Saturday. Lennon provides the ideal replacement for Walcott's raw pace and, although his early career has been plagued by accusations that he lacks composure and quality on the end of his blistering runs, his form for Tottenham this season has been very consistent. David Beckham and James Milner are also in contention for the right-side berth.
