Ex-Arsenal enforcer Flamini set to snub City move and pen new deal at Milan

AC Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini would rather remain at the San Siro than return to England amid reports the Rossoneri are set to offer the France international a new contract.    Flamini was linked with a move to Manchester City in January and interest is expected to increase when the transfer window re-opens in the summer.   City target: Flamini (centre) says his priority is to stay at Milan The former Arsenal midfielder has been a bit-part player for most ofthe season but has started three of Milan's last four matches and iskeen to extend his stay.   Up for the battle: Flamini challenges for the ball with United's Paul Scholes 'I'm following the interest towards me of big English clubs. I feelvery good there, I'm counting on imposing myself, at this moment I'm infull possession of my abilities.'   Flamini signed a four-year deal with Milan in 2008 after leaving Arsenal on a free transfer. Reports suggest the Serie A giants are considering offering the26-year-old a two-year extension, something vice-president AdrianoGalliani has hinted at.   'We are counting on him,' he said.
