LIVERPOOL, England (AFP) - Everton revealed on Tuesday that they are in talks with Arsenal to sign Switzerland defender Philippe Senderos. Senderos has been out of favour at Arsenal for 12 months and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is willing to sell the centre-back for around six million pounds. Everton manager David Moyes wants Senderos, who spent last season on loan at AC Milan, to bolster his defensive options and the 24-year-old could be a ready-made replacement for Joleon Lescott, who has already been the subject of two rejected bids from Manchester City. "We have been negotiating with Arsenal for the transfer of Philippe." Everton chairman Bill Kenwright confirmed to Everton's website. "Nothing has been concluded yet but talks are ongoing."
