ESPN win race for Premier League mobile highlights rights

The UK mobile highlights rights for all 380 Premier League games have been won by ESPN, it was announced today.   The Disney-owned broadcaster will be able to send clips of goals and highlights to mobile phones for the next three seasons, starting in August.   ESPN already screen some live Premier League matches after they took over some of rights from collapsed TV station Setanta.  Access: Fans will soon get Premier League mobile clips from ESPN Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore said: 'ESPN's purchase of Barclays Premier League mobile clip rights demonstrates their commitment to the competition and the fans.
