England U21 dealt triple injury blow ahead of crunch play-off clash against Romania

England Under 21's boss Stuart Pearce has seen his squad for their European Championship play-off against Romania hit by a trio of withdrawals.[LNB]Manchester City defender Micah Richards, Huddersfield goalkeeper Alex Smithies and Arsenal full-back Kieran Gibbs have all dropped out of the 23-man party and returned to their clubs due to injury.[LNB] Out: Gibbs (left) and Richards will miss the double header against Romania[LNB] Manchester City defender Kieran Trippier has been called up as Pearce elected to draft in just one replacement.[LNB]Trippier, 20, has yet to play a first-team match for City and is currently in his second loan spell at Barnsley.
