Arsenal striker Eduardo says he is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a career-threatening leg injury and hopes to be back in training before the start of next season.
The 25-year-old Croatia international suffered a double fracture of his left leg in a game against Birmingham City in February and had been expected to be sidelined for at least a year.
However, his recuperation in his native Brazil is reported to be going well and Eduardo is excited about the prospect of a return to action within a matter of months.
He told Sportske Novosti: "I am returning to Europe from Brazil at the beginning of August, perhaps even the end of July.
"Doctors tell me by then I will be fully recovered and able to play football again. I hope so too.
"I'm feeling well and my rehabilitation is going better than I would ever have hoped."
