Arsenal are confident that Eduardo Da Silva will be fully fit for the start of the new season following a fresh bout of surgery on the ankle he badly injured over a year ago.
The Croatia international spent 12 months of the sidelines after suffering a horrific dislocation and fracture of his left ankle during a Premier League game against Birmingham City in February 2008.
The 26-year-old made four appearances for the Gunners - scoring three goals - after returning to action in March, but has now been sent for more surgery after reporting a 'minor' problem.
"Eduardo underwent simple revision surgery on his left ankle," read a statement on the club's official website.
"The operation went well and Eduardo will follow a dedicated rehabilitation programme throughout June.
"He is expected to return to full training in pre-season with the rest of the squad."
