NYON, Switzerland (AFP) - Arsenal striker Eduardo was on Tuesday suspended for two matches by European football's governing body UEFA for diving in a Champions League game against Celtic last month. "The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body today examined the case of the Arsenal FC player Eduardo "for deceiving the referee" during the UEFA Champions League play-off second leg match on 26 August against Celtic FC, and has suspended the player for two UEFA club competition matches," read a statement on the UEFA website. Croatia international Eduardo went to ground under a challenge from Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc in the first half of the match at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium and scored the resulting penalty to put his side on course for a 3-1 victory. Arsenal and Eduardo have three days to appeal against the decision. The Gunners first two Champions League group stage matches are against Standard Liege and Olympiakos.
