Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk is hoping that injured Arsenal striker Robin van Persie can return to action at the start of April.
The 26-year-old frontman has been out of action since damaging ankle ligaments while on international duty back in November.
Van Persie has sat out 22 games for the Gunners but van Marwijk believes he could return in early April in what would be a boost to the Oranje ahead of the World Cup.
The striker had scored seven goals in 11 Premier League appearances before being struck down by injury.
"I spoke to him on the phone last week and he is improving all the time and feeling better," explained van Marwijk.
"You can hear it in his voice that he feels he is improving.
"I hope that he will play at the beginning of April and he feels this is maybe possible.
"He is a very important player for me so it is very important for me that he is fit."
