Dutch FA hit back at Arsenal manager Wenger's Van Persie blast

The Dutch football association claim they kept Arsenal fully informed aboutRobin van Persie's ankle injury after Gunners boss Arsene Wenger accused them of 'minimising' the seriousness of the problem. [LNB]Van Persie suffered ruptured ankle ligaments during Holland's friendly againstItaly in Pescara on November 14, and after a controversial treatment in aSerbian clinic involving placenta failed to improve the problem, it has nowemerged that he requires surgery and faces up to five months on the sidelines. [LNB]'The Arsenal striker went to the hospital in Amsterdam on Sunday, wherefurther examination (MRI scan) confirmed the diagnosis of the medical staff ofthe Netherlands team - Robin van Persie had a ruptured ligament of his rightankle.
