Draw frustrates Thierry
11 Sep 2006 - 12:47:27
Arsenal striker Thierry Henry hopes the Gunners' luck will soon start to change as they continued their winless start to the Premiership season with a 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsene Wenger's side have taken only two points from their opening three games of the campaign and Henry admits it has been a very disappointing start to the season.
"It's frustrating because you go home knowing you weren't outplayed or outmuscled - but it's a draw again," the Frenchman told the club's official website.
"It's not a lack of concentration, maybe we're just not quite there yet. There's nothing to hide behind, we're not putting the ball in the net.
"The only thing is we are always 1-0 down and that's not the best way to start a game. I don't know how many games in a row now where a team has one shot on target and it's a goal.
"Jens (Lehmann) has touched the ball more with his feet than his hands, but that's football. We're not killing the teams we're playing against and they're taking advantage of that.
"We have one match in hand that we have to win, plus we have a big game next week and in midweek. I hope our luck will even itself out."
