Djourou: A long way to go yet

Arsenal defender Johan Djourou is convinced they can replicate what they did last season and whittle away Chelsea's advantage.[LNB] At one point, the Gunners trailed Chelsea by 11 points after they were defeated by the eventual champions last November. [LNB]Less than two months later, however, Arsenal had claimed the summit of the Premier League. [LNB]Arsene Wenger's team are now faced with the same prospect after they were defeated by Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last week and now trail them by seven points. [LNB]Djourou, though, is relishing the challenge.[LNB]"There is a long way to go in the Premier League," he told Arsenal TV Online. [LNB]"We are still in October and it's just the beginning.[LNB]"It's true we would rather be top than further down but things will happen and hopefully we can pick up points from now on. [LNB]"If you look at last year we were 11 points behind (and we came back). [LNB]"We need to understand that the Premier League season is very long. [LNB]"Chelsea are going to drop points and so are we, so we just need to be focused on every single game and make the most of our chances."
