Diaby - I'm different

Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby believes it is wrong to compare himself to Gunners legend Patrick Vieira. The 23-year-old's performances for the Gunners have led some to make comparisons between the two Frenchmen. But while Diaby admits Vieira is a huge idol who he has learned a lot from and insists their games are very different. Diaby said in The Sun: "He (Vieira) is a big idol for me and I learned a lot from watching him. Big influence "The way he defends and the way he penetrates defenders to get in the box - he has been a big influence. "People make the comparison between us because I'm tall like him but I believe our game is very different. "He is much more aggressive than me and much stronger." Despite Arsenal being fourth in the table, some critics still believe the Gunners are too easily brushed aside to mount a serious title challenge. But Diaby believes critics should not ignore the Gunners' attacking threat. He said: "We always try to be stronger and concede less goals - but we score plenty too and people should not forget that."
