Brazilian youngster Denilson is in line for his
Arsenal debut after being named in the squad for Tuesday's Champions League encounter with CSKA Moscow.
The 18-year-old midfielder has played just one reserve game since joining the Gunners from Sao Paulo on transfer deadline day, but an injury crisis has seen him included in the 18-man party to travel to Russia.
The Brazil Under-19s captain is likely to start on the bench, but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has no doubt that he would cope if he is needed to provide cover for Gilberto Silva or Cesc Fabregas.
"He is a good all-round player and has good technique," said Wenger.
The Gunners flew to Russia on Monday without injury victims Freddie Ljungberg, EmManUel Eboue, Julio Baptista, Philippe Senderos, Lauren and Abou Diaby.
