French full-back Gael Clichy is set to hand
Arsenal a boost by returning to full training next week.
The 20-year-old has been sidelined since November after breaking a bone in his foot playing for France Under-21s.
His absence could not have been more poorly timed as the Gunners' first choice left-back Ashley Cole has also been in the treatment room with a similar problem, but it now seems both will be in contention for first-team returns in the near future.
"I hope that I can be back in the next week, or maybe two weeks' time," Clichy told the club's official website.
"I am looking forward to playing again and helping the team."
With Cole and Clichy out of action, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has tried Pascal Cygan, Lauren, Kerrea Gilbert, Philippe Senderos and Seb Larsson in the left-back position, but none of them have looked comfortable with the role.
