Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud has distanced his club from reports linking Morocco international striker Marouane Chamakh with a move for Arsenal.
Earlier in the week, reports suggested Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was keen to sign Chamakh if Emmanuel Adebayor was sold to Manchester City.
However, Triaud was quoted in France Football as saying: "Arsene Wenger hasn't called me to say he is interested in signing Chamakh.
"Who has talked about Chamakh going to Arsenal? Journalists. These are just stories without foundation."
Fulham, Tottenham and Sunderland have also been linked with the 25-year-old, who has just 12 months left on his Bordeaux contract.
He has scored 53 goals in almost 200 matches for Bordeaux since joining the club seven years ago.
