Gunner be an Arsenal striker: Marouane Chamakh[LNB]Marouane Chamakh has rubbished talk he has already agreed a move to Liverpool in the summer by claiming his preferred Premier League destination is Arsenal.[LNB]The Bordeaux striker is free at the end of the season and is widely expected to leave the French champions. Gunnners boss Arsene Wenger has twice tried to sign the Moroccan international but baulked at his club's asking price of about £10million.[LNB]Liverpool were thought to be leading the chase for Chamakh throughout the recent transfer window and reports suggest the Anfield club offered him a four-year contract worth £3million a season.[LNB]He said: 'My choice is to join a Premier League club. If I had a choice, I would go to Arsenal.[LNB]'Bordeaux gave me a lot. I will soon clarify things so the club can prepare my successor.'[LNB]Both Arsenal and Liverpool could argue to having the greater need for a striker of Chamakh's calibre as they toil on their pursuit of a top four finish. [LNB]The 26-year-old has hit just seven goals this season but standing at over six feet is a formidable outlet.  [LNB]Arsenal have registered just one goal through a recognised striker since the turn of the year - Eduardo at West Ham in the FA Cup - while Liverpool are short of options as Fernando Torres recovers from a serious knee injury.[LNB] Serbia international Milan Jovanovic set to join Liverpool in the summerWenger has £30m to spend at Arsenal... and his title rivals can't splash outBordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh edges ever closer to Liverpool moveLiverpool on brink of beating Arsenal to land hitman Chamakh on a free transferLIVERPOOL FC
