Cesc's dad didn't have chat with Perez

Cesc Fabregas' father has dismissed reports that he met Real Madrid president Florentino Perez at the weekend to discuss a possible transfer.[LNB] Speculation in Spain has claimed that Francesc Fabregas attended Real's Primera Liga game with Valencia on Sunday before holding talks with Perez over the Arsenal midfielder's future.[LNB]However, Fabregas snr is adamant he was not at the Santiago Bernabeu as rumours surrounding his son's future continue to circulate.[LNB]"I was not at the Santiago Bernabeu last Sunday to speak with Florentino Perez," Fabregas snr told the Catalan media. [LNB]"I have spent the weekend at home."[LNB]He also denied claims he met Real's sporting director Jorge Valdano, adding: "A meeting with Valdano? It is totally false.[LNB]"This morning (Monday), I have been walking around Barcelona with my daughter, this is the only truth."[LNB]Arsenal captain Fabregas has long been tipped to return to Spain, with former club Barcelona and Real repeatedly linked with bids.[LNB]Gunners chairman Peter Hill-Wood last week revealed that Barca had assured him they are not planning a summer offer and Arsene Wenger remains insistent his skipper will be staying at Emirates Stadium.[LNB]The midfielder is currently recovering from a cracked fibula sustained against Barca in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final, but is hoping to be fit for Spain's World Cup challenge.
