Cesc keen on Spain return
03 Mar 2007 - 12:44:03
Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has revealed he wants to end his career back home in Spain.
Catalan-born Fabregas was plucked from the youth system at Barcelona by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger four years ago.
The 19-year-old has gone on to establish himself as the heartbeat of the Gunners midfield, but despite claiming he is happy in the Premiership, the Spain international would like to end his career in his homeland.
"It is obvious that I am very happy at Arsenal, but I cannot predict what will happen in the future," he told The Sun.
"My girlfriend is Catalan and I expect that I will finish my career playing back in Catalunya.
"I do not know where I am going to be in two, three or four years. I am 19. I am only young and I have much more to learn."
Fabregas, who has made over 100 appearances for the Gunners, has long been linked with a big-money move to back to Spain with Real Madrid.
