Carlos Vela and Efrain Juarez banned by Mexico for six months

Banned: Gunner Vela (left) and Celtic's Juarez [LNB]Carlos Vela and Efrain Juarez have been suspended from international football for six months after breaking rules while on duty with Mexico. [LNB]Arsenal striker Vela and Celtic midfielder Juarez were also fined £2,500 each following an incident in Monterray earlier this month.[LNB]The pair are alleged to have organised a party after Mexico beat Colombia 1-0. [LNB]Team director Nestor de la Torre said: 'Carlos Vela and Efrain Juarez will be suspended for six months from the date of these events (September 8), for calls for the national team, because there were faults in four sections of the national team rules.'[LNB]Tottenham's Giovani dos Santos and West Ham's Pablo Barrera along with Guillermo Ochoa, Francisco Rodriguez, Carlos Salcido, Andres Guardado, Gerardo Torrado, Javier Hernandez, Rafael Marquez, Enrique Esqueda and Hector Moreno were also fined £2,500 for breaking rules after hours. [LNB]Vela and Juarez will be unable to play for Mexico until mid-March if the suspensions hold. [LNB]El Tri are due to play at least one match - a friendly in early February - during the suspension.
