Carling Cup preview - Arsenal v Liverpool

28 Oct 2009 - 10:10:04

The pick of tonight's Carling Cup fourth round ties sees Liverpool travel to the Emirates to take on Arsenal.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is expected to opt for a mix of youth and experience in his line-up.

- Tonight's fixtures
- Carling Cup results

Defenders Phillipe Senderos and Mikael Silvestre seem likely to start, with Carlos Vela, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshire all tipped to feature for the Gunners.

Liverpool appear likely to hand big-money signing Alberto Aquilani a debut, although the midfielder will probably have to make do with a place on the substitutes' bench.

Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres are almost certainly ruled out with injury, as are Albert Reira and Martin Kelly.

Arsenal my team your the best my young stars you showed what real soccer is by scoring some heroic goals.... nasri and almunia come back has just taken the squad to another level.. surely curling cup, champions league, barclays and FA cup is just around the corners of emiratestadium.

Great game last night ,with Liverpool badly shown up in the skills dept.Fran Merida had a blinder and Arsene better make up his mind quickly and give him more game time ,otherwise he,ll probably go back to Spain.Sanchez Watt looks a good prospect ,along with Craig Eastmond ,Aaron Ramsey oozes class,Bendtner a future star Gibbs always impresses whenever he plays .Liverpool can,t compete without Gerrard and or Torres in the team ,so Arsenal ,Chelsea ,Man.United in that order come May 2010.The Gooners the Premier League champions .

Arsenal should win easily at home with such great form of home wins and without torres and gerrard Liverpool dont seem to get hold on this match.

Without Torres and Gerrard, Liverpool don't stand a chance at the Emirates tonight, but will Arsene pick the winning side tonight and not be conservative? All the youngsters plus Eduardo and Nasri need to play. Eduardo and Nasri need to get fit again, with more playing time, so come on Arsene up the Gooners!
