Peterborough 1-2 Swansea[LNB]20.27: GOAL! Portsmouth 0-2 Leicester[LNB]20.26: GOAL! Sunderland 1-1 West Ham[LNB]Jordan Henderson swings in a free-kick and that man Asamoah Gyan scores again to bring the Black cats back on on level terms.[LNB]20.25: GOAL! Brentford 1-1 Everton[LNB]Like a salmon Gary Alexander has rose to equalise for the home side who had been showing signs of getting back in to that.[LNB]20.23: Arsenal dominating possession at White Hart Lane, Spurs can hardly get the ball of them, but Spurs have looked dangerous on the break. All to play for.[LNB]20.20: GOAL! Sunderland 0-1 West Ham[LNB]Avram Grant is back in charge and Frederic Piquionne rounds the keeper to score his first goal for the club after some good work from Victor Obinna. West Ham bossing that encounter.[LNB]20.19: Mackal-Smith is furious that he has not got a penalty for Peterborough, he storms in to the box and is taken out by Yves Makalamby for a certain penalty. Somehow the ref disagrees and gives a goal kick.[LNB]20.17: Fulham edging their way back in to at the Britannia but no real chances yet. Clint Dempsey providing much of the creative spark for the visitors.[LNB]20.15: GOAL! Birmingham 3-0 MK Dons[LNB]Well this is ridiculous, Birmingham just can't stop scoring, despite my timings, this is about the third in seven minutes and this time it's Craig Gardner who fires home. He has been in fine goal scoring from this season.[LNB]20.13: GOAL! Birmingham 2-0 MK Dons[LNB]Jean Beausejour sends a lovely ball in the box for Nikola Zigic to double the lead and leave a massive uphill climb for the Dons.[LNB]20.12: GOAL! Birmingham 1-0 MK Dons[LNB]Gunners and ex-Gunners running things right now. Alexander Hleb scores his first goal for the club with a neat side foot home.[LNB]20.12: GOAL! Milwall 0-1 Ipswich[LNB]Unbelievable, that is pretty much the first chance of the match, and it is Tamas Priskin who puts the away side in front.[LNB]20.10: Milwall and Ipswich has been a drab affair so far, and if any game looks like it is heading for penalties, it's that one.[LNB]20.08: GOAL! Stoke 1-0 Fulham[LNB]It has been coming, and Mark Schwarzer is furious with his defence, as Danny Higginbotham puts the home side in front.[LNB]20.05: Portsmouth and Leicester taking turns to have shots at Fratton Park. Steve Howard and Aaron Mokoena going close for either side.[LNB]20.04: West Ham started well at the Stadium of Light but Sunderland starting to work their way back in to the game with Darren bent going close.[LNB]20.02: GOAL! Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal[LNB]Jack Wilshere plays a lovely ball across the six yard box and with the Spurs defence standing as still as statues, Henri Lansbury pokes home from close range.[LNB]19.56: Hand bags at the Britannia. Danny Murphy throws a ball at Ryan Shawcross, and the ref has to calm things down, with Murphy eventually booked.[LNB]19.54: GOAL! Peterborough 1-1 Swansea[LNB]But it does not last long as Craig Mackal-Smith scores to put Posh immediately back in it.[LNB]19.53: GOAL! Peterborough 0-1 Swansea[LNB]Scott Sinclair gives the Championship side the lead against the League One high fliers.[LNB]19.51: GOAL! Brentford 0-1 Everton[LNB]A lovely move from Everton ends with Seamus Coleman firing the Premier league side in front. Bad news for cupset fans.[LNB]19.50: Stoke have started well at the Britannia stadium in one of the all-Premier league affairs, Tony Pulis' side doing all the pressing so far.[LNB]19.47: GOAL! Portsmouth 0-1 Leicester[LNB]Michael Morrison stabs home from close range to pile more misery on Portsmouth.[LNB] Grudge match: Owen Coyle's return adds extra spice to the Lancashire derby[LNB]19.45: Ties kicking off all around, A minutes applause as White Hart Lane for Spurs legend Bobby Smith who sadly passed away this week.[LNB]Good to see Arsenal fans joining in with that as well.[LNB]19.43: Spurs tend to leak a few goals in this fixture. They have only kept one clean sheet in their last 28 meetings in all competitions with Arsenal.[LNB]Expect some goals at White Hart Lane this evening, and thanks to opta for that stat.[LNB]19.40: Teams making their way out now around the country. Lots of stewards at Turf Moor, that should answer my question at 19.15.[LNB]19.35: I'm still surprised with the Arsenal team news, I have never seen Arsene Wenger put out a stronger team than that in the third round of the Carling Cup.[LNB]Any of you who may disagree with that let me know on dan.ripley@dailymail.co.uk[LNB]19.32: Would not be a cup night without a chance of an upset. Everton have potentially the biggest banana skin of the evening as they travel to Brentford.[LNB]Then again, Everton are another team with a slow start and are probably just as desperate for victory as Brentford are to cause an upset.[LNB]19.28: Of course for some teams this evening, the Carling Cup provides a welcome distraction from a nightmare start to their domestic league campaigns. (West Ham and Portsmouth, I'm looking at you).[LNB]Big chance for those sides to get a much needed kick-start to their season.[LNB]19.26: That's your lot then, also Milwall and Ipswich fans, their has been a slight change that has been amended at the New Den.[LNB]Sunderland v West HamSunderland: Mignolet, Bardsley, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Richardson, Elmohamady, Henderson, Riveros, Welbeck, Bent, Gyan. Subs: Lainton, Robinson, Muamba, Holden, Elmander, Petrov, Lee.Referee: Mark Clattenburg (England)[LNB]19.15: Here we are then, the last 32. Teams that have taken part in the Champions League and the Europa League have come to town as the Carling Cup introduces the Premier League heavy weights.[LNB]Two are in action tonight, albeit on one pitch as you probably may have heard that Tottenham face Arsenal at White Hart Lane in what is easily the biggest tie of the round, but there are other interesting sub-plots too.[LNB]This time last season Owen Coyle was flying high in the Premier League with Burnley. Twelve months on he takes his Bolton side back to Turf Moor. With his departure to their Lancashire rivals followed by Burnley's plummet down the league in to the Championship, it should be interesting to see what reception he gets from Claret fans tonight.[LNB]It's not just about the headline ties, All together there are 10 games this evening and we will bring you important action from all of them as well as the team news, which is on the way...[LNB] Frustration: Arsene Wenger's actions against Sunderland have earned him a one match touchline ban for the trip to Tottenham[LNB] Wenger banned for Spurs clash and fined £8,000 after rant at fourth officialHungry to shine: West Ham striker McCarthy ready for Sunderland chanceCoyle back to face mob as Bolton boss returns to Turf Moor for Cup clash[LNB]
