CARLING CUP DRAW: Tottenham drawn to play Arsenal

Tottenham have been drawn to face their bitter north London rivals Arsenal in the third round of the Carling Cup.[LNB]The pair have clashed twice before in the competition in recent seasons, with the most recent match ending in a 5-1 win for Tottenham in 2008.[LNB]Elsewhere in the third round Chelsea will take on Newcastle at Stamford Bridge, while holders Manchester United travel to Scunthorpe.[LNB]United, who beat Aston Villa in February's final and are actually chasing a hat-trick of successes in the Carling Cup, will make the trip to Glanford Park to face Nigel Adkins' Championship side.[LNB] Exciting draw: Tottenham will play Arsenal at White Hart Lane[LNB]Northampton, the only League Two side surviving in the competition, were handed a dream trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool.[LNB]Big-spending  Manchester City, chasing a first trophy since 1976, head to West Bromwich Albion.
