Brazilian wonderkid Zezinho snubs Arsenal switch in favour of Santos

Zezinho: In action during the FIFA Under 17 World Cup[LNB]Brazil Under 17 starlet Zezinho has closed the door on a summer move to Arsenal by agreeing a move to link up with Robinho at Santos. [LNB]The highly-rated midfielder was being lined up for a move to the Emirates Stadium after impressing on trial in north London, but negotiations with his club Juventude has proved difficult. [LNB]The struggling club, relegated to the Brazilian third division for 2010, were asking £7million and rejected two bids from the Gunners of £1.5m and £2.75m. [LNB]There are further complications because Juventude own only 70 per cent of his rights, with the rest in the hands of his agent. [LNB]The Gunners remain interested, but Zezinho is finalising a two-year loan which Santos insist cannot be broken at the end of the Barclays Premier League season. [LNB]Santos director of football Pedro Conceicao Luis Nunes said: 'He will not leave in the next European transfer window.
