The England Under-21 midfielder was stretchered off following a tackle by Lewin Nyatanga in the second half of the 2-2 draw at Bristol City on Monday.[LNB]He will have a scan in the next couple of days, but Mackay is still optimistic a deal will be done with Arsenal to keep the midfielder at Vicarage Road for the rest of the season.[LNB]Mackay said: "Henri has twisted his ankle; the medical department will be keeping an eye on him in the next couple of days, but he has ice on it now so we will just have to see.[LNB]"It's a nasty ankle injury.[LNB]"But we've already opened talks with Arsenal about extending the lad's stay with us and I don't expect that decision to be affected.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
