[LNB]The Gunners were on cruise control for much of the first half and found themselves two goals to the good thanks to early strikes from Robin van Persie and Abou Diaby.[LNB]But just as it looked like the home side were going to run away with it, Blues found a way into the contest on 38 minutes after a blunder by keeper Vito Mannone allowed Lee Bowyer to score from close range.[LNB]The goal rocked the Gunners and they struggled to find their earlier fluency after the break with the visitors, occasionally threatening an equaliser.[LNB]But Andrey Arshavin, on as a first-half substitute for Theo Walcott, sealed the win seven minutes from time after a flowing end-to-end move[LNB]"When the second one went in it was easy to see Birmingham collapse and a four, five six goal game but it did not tirn out that way," said Matt.[LNB]"Arsenal took their foot off a little bit and Birmingham changed their formation slightly when they went two down. They got back in the game but it was a error from the goalkeeper in all fairness. [LNB]"At 2-1 Arsenal started to get a little bit nervous. In the second half they could not get the breakthrough.[LNB]"Arshavin, who looks like a fantastic player to me - I love watching him - wrapped the game up.[LNB]"Certainly some encouraging signs from Birmingham and they looked a different team when they committed more men forward but does it have to take you going 2-0 down before you start to make an effort in the game?
