    Bendtner reveals future aim

    23 Dec 2008 - 11:14:08

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has admitted he could leave the club should he fail to hold down a starting place.

Bendtner, 20, claims he is happy at the Emirates Stadium and keen to become a first-team regular under Arsene Wenger.

However, the Denmark international would not be afraid to move on should he fail to earn enough playing time.

Bendtner has scored just one goal in 12 Premier League appearances for the Gunners this season.

Referring to reports of interest from other clubs, he said: "I don't think about all the rumours because I am an Arsenal player and really love it here.

"I hope that I can stay here for a long time because to me Arsenal are the dream club.

"To play football is my clear first priority. I know what I want and, if I can't get it at Arsenal, then I want to leave the club.

"And that's the way I want it for the rest of my career, regardless of where I play. I want to be picked in the first team."
