Bendtner: More goals needed

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is hopeful of improving his goals return for the Gunners next season.

The 21-year-old Denmark international netted 15 goals in all competitions in the season just ended, but fells that he still passed up too many chances.

He told Ekstra Bladet: "I see next season as the season when I get my big breakthrough.

"That's when I am going to score the goals that the best strikers do. That is the last step that I need to take.

"Fifteen goals for the season is satisfactory, but when I look at the number of chances I had, I should have scored a few more.

"But 15 is okay, but I wouldn't mind a few more in next season."

Bendtner has been with Arsenal since the summer of 2005 and has score 24 goals in 93 appearances in total for the north London club.
