Bendtner rubbishes quit stories

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has poured cold water on "crazy" stories he could be forced to quit the game because of a groin injury.[LNB] Bendtner has yet to feature this season as he continues to try to overcome the niggling problem which has hampered him since the World Cup.[LNB]However, the 22-year-old Denmark striker has rubbished reports he could be forced to hang up his boots.[LNB]"It's crazy to hear such stories, I can completely dismiss it," Bendtner told www.Sporten.dk.[LNB]"I have been worried during the injury spell, but there has never been mentioned that it could stop my career.[LNB]"I can't understand where this rumour comes from. It's nasty and quite shocking."[LNB]While a date has not been set for his return, Bendtner remains positive for the season ahead.[LNB]"I am looking forward now and there is a lot to look forward to," he said.[LNB]"I am expecting to be fit for a comeback within a not too distant future, but I have not set a date.[LNB]"Arsenal and I have worked out a timetable which I am following, but we are keeping the details to ourselves."
