David Beckham admits that he could yet miss out on his dream of playing in a fourth successive World Cup campaign because manager Fabio Capello is ruthless enough to discard him from the final squad selection in May. [LNB]Beckham, the second most capped England player with 115 international appearances, has been a regular member of Capello's squad in the past 18 months despite playing for LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer in the United States. [LNB]He will join up with AC Milan again in January for a five-month loan spell, as he did last year, in an attempt to play in what would be his fourth finals, a feat never achieved by an Englishman. [LNB]Beckham has spent three seasons in the MLS[LNB][LNB]Beckham said: 'Of course I'd be upset if I am not part of the squad, but it is something I would still respect the manager for doing if hefelt it was right because of the system he has of having the bestplayers in the team. That is the way it should always be. [LNB]'Nothing is guaranteed. I have discovered that in my career. If Ican be part of the World Cup, then it would be amazing. I would love tobe here in South Africa. But if I don't make the squad, it's obviouslynot going to stop me supporting the team.[LNB] 'Everybody knows how much I love playing for my country, but themanager will always pick a squad that he thinks will win thecompetition. [LNB]'I am 34, I have been in squads and I have been out of squads. It is something I don't take for granted . . . I never have.' [LNB]Beckham was dropped by Capello's predecessor as England manager,Steve McClaren, after the 2006 World Cup finals before being recalledfor the final games of the Euro 2008 campaign. [LNB]He then missed out on Capello's early squads but has since been included in every selection for which he was available.[LNB] 'I have been lucky over the years to have been in many of thesquads and to have played almost every game but I know the other sideas well,' said Beckham. [LNB]'Even going to AC Milan on loan doesn't guarantee anything for me.' [LNB] [LNB]  Explore more:People:Fabio Capello, Steve McClaren, David BeckhamPlaces:United Kingdom, South Africa
