Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has backed summer signing Julio Baptista to be a big hit with the Gunners, despite a slow start to his career in England.
The 25-year-old Brazil international joined Arsenal on a season-long loan from Real Madrid, with a permanent deal to follow if he impresses.
However, the attacking midfielder has scored just once in seven outings for the Gunners, having struggled with injury since his move to the Emirates Stadium.
Wenger remains confident that Baptista will prove his class, though, saying: "There is no basic problem with him. He has just got to adapt to the pace of the game.
"He has just come back from six weeks out with injury and I feel he needs to work, maybe he will play on Saturday against Tottenham.
"We have seen that before with players who came here, it always took them six months to adapt.
"I am confident he will make a big impact here."
