In the first-leg, Arsene Wenger's side produced a dramatic comeback from 2-0 down to give themselves a fighting chance heading into tonight's fixture. Barca forward Zlatan Ibrahimovich gave his side the lead with a delightful lob early in the second half, before doubling the Catalans' advantage with a powerful finish shortly after.
Substitute Theo Walcott pulled one back for the Gunners, before Cesc Fabregas was brought down by Carles Puyol in the box - the Arsenal captain coolly slotting the resulting penalty to level the tie.
While the first match displayed both sides at almost full-strength, tonight's clash will be missing a number of key players from each side after a series of suspensions and injuries hit hard.
Wenger will be without William Gallas, Andrey Arshavin and Cesc Frabregas, all of whom were injured during the first-leg. They will be also be missing Alex Song after he sustained knee and groin injuries during Arsenal's 1-0 win over Wolves on Saturday.
The visitors are not without their own selection worries with first-choice central defenders Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol both suspended after picking up yellow cards in the first-leg.
Ibrahimovic is out after damaging his calf during the warm-up before his side's 4-1 win over Athletico Bilbao on Saturday, while Yaya Toure and Jeffren Suarez are both facing a race against time to be fit after picking up injuries during the game.
Influential midfielder Andres Iniesta is still a major doubt after missing the first game with an injury to his left leg.
