Txiki Begiristain has welcomed the news that Cesc Fabregas would like to return to Barcelona - but accepts Arsenal will have the final say.[LNB] Fabregas last week revealed his wish to return to Barca, where he played in the youth ranks before joining Arsenal in 2003.[LNB]Barcelona sporting director Begiristain on Wednesday told club's website: "It's great news that he wants to come here and I think that one day Cesc will have to come to Barca.[LNB]"But what matters is Arsenal and what their decision is.[LNB]"They think he is a very important player for them.[LNB]"We have to respect that.[LNB]"At times the wishes of players do not come true because they are under contract.[LNB]"That he says that he wants to come to Barca is a synonym that things are being done well here.[LNB]"I don't know when but I have the impression that he is a Barca (style) player and that he will enjoy it very much.[LNB]"I wish it was as soon as possible.[LNB]"But we have to respect Arsenal's wishes and the contract he has."[LNB]The 23-year-old is under contract at Arsenal until June 2014 and Gunners chairman Peter Hill-Wood has warned Barca they have "no intention" of selling their captain this summer.[LNB]"We are not remotely interested in selling him," he told the Daily Star.[LNB]It is claimed that the creative midfielder has already informed Arsene Wenger of his wishes and hopes the French coach will grant him the opportunity to seal a dream move to Camp Nou.[LNB]Fabregas began his career in the youth ranks at Barcelona, before being snapped up by Arsenal while still in his teens.[LNB]He quickly progressed into the first-time fold with the Gunners and has been a regular part of Wenger's plans for the last six years.[LNB]Speculation regarding a return his roots has been building for some time, though, with the 23-year-old admitting he would relish the opportunity to turn out for Barcelona at some stage.[LNB]It appears that time has come, with Fabregas revealing that the prospect of winning major trophies in Catalunya would be too good to turn down should Barca make their move.[LNB]Having opened the door to Pep Guardiola's side, it is expected to be only a matter of time before Arsenal's resolve is tested with a big money bid.[LNB]For now, though, the Gunners maintain that they have no desire to listen to offers for their skipper, with Hill-Wood attempting to reassure the club's supporters by insisting that Fabregas is not for sale.
