arcelona have appointed former keeper Andoni Zubizarreta as their new sporting director - and his top priority will be signing Cesc Fabregas.[LNB] Zubizarreta made over 300 appearances for Barca between 1986 and 1994 and also played 126 times for Spain in an illustrious career.[LNB]The 48 year-old remains a popular figure at Barcelona and will take over from fellow Basque Txiki Begiristian, who stepped down earlier this week.[LNB]New president Sandro Rosell continues to shape his team ahead of the new season after taking over from outgoing Barca boss Joan Laporta yesterday.[LNB]There are also roles for Narcis Julia, Albert Puig and former player Guillermo Amor.[LNB]The three will work alongside Zubizarreta and the new board to strengthen the playing squad.[LNB]And one of his chief goals will be to bring Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas to the Nou Camp.[LNB]"Our objective is for him to become a Barcelona player this summer," vice president Josep Maria Bartomeu said at a press conference today.[LNB]Fabregas himself was in no mood to discuss his future ahead of Spain's World Cup quarter-final against Paraguay tomorrow.[LNB]"Concerning myself, I don't think there is too much more to say," he said.[LNB]"I don't think this is the moment to be talking about that. It is a very important moment for Spain and can go down in history so I will talk later on about what I will do next year.[LNB]"There's a moment and time for everything, let's not waste time. We're going to play Paraguay tomorrow, so that is what's important."[LNB]
