Arshavin almost joined Spurs

If it was down to just me to reach an agreement, the move could have taken place," he explained in the Daily Mail.[LNB]"It could have been so different if Tottenham had been able to agree a fee with Zenit."[LNB]Arshavin has quickly established himself as one of the Premier League's finest players with some sparkling performances over the past nine months.[LNB]However, away from the pitch he concedes it has been hard to adjust to English life.[LNB]"On one hand I love it here," he said. "On the other, I haven't said anything about the difficulties. [LNB]"In Spain, for example, everything seems easier. England is different from many European countries in terms of lifestyle and mentality."[LNB]
