Arsene Wenger is said to have voiced his anger about Barcelona's pursuit of Cesc Fabregas in a brief face-to-face meeting with Nou Camp president Sandro Rosell. [LNB]The Barcelona chief had failed to track down Wenger for talks in the run-up to the World Cup final, but managed to find the Frenchman before the exodus from South Africa on Monday, according to Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo. [LNB]However, Rosell failed to make a breakthrough in his desire to sign the Spain midfielder as the Gunners boss apparently confirmed his club's frustration with the way negotiations had been conducted through the media.[LNB] [LNB] Getting shirty: Fabregas with the Barca top as Spain celebrate the World Cup win[LNB]The Spanish champions' new president, who replaced Joan Laporta on July 1, suspected as much and has since halted public statements in an attempt to build bridges. [LNB]However, the signing of Fabregas is still a priority and Rosell is said to have respectfully confirmed as much to Wenger. [LNB]Barca had expected to agree a transfer for the 23-year-old within days of Fabregas admitting he wanted to return to Catalonia back in May. [LNB]However the club now recognise there will be no quick resolution and have set a longer deadline of the end of this month as an ideal time to strike a deal. Barca's initial £29million bid was immediately rebuffed and a much-anticipated £33m improved offer has failed to materialise.[LNB] Arsenal insist there is no price tag, but it is understood that offers approaching £60m would be interesting. [LNB]Rosell says he won't pay even £40m, but reports in Catalonia say the upper limits for negotiations could rise to about £37.5m. [LNB]Fabregas dedicated Spain's World Cup win to his Arsenal fans and team-mates amid realising that a return to Barcelona is by no means guaranteed. [LNB]He also looked embarrassed on Monday night when Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique and Pepe Reina forced him to wear a Barcelona shirt.  [LNB] Barcelona land Fabregas...at least for one night, as Spain stars play prankThis is for Arsenal!
