Arsenal fans could face the nightmare of losing both their skipper and manager next summer after Arsene Wenger admitted it will be his last chance to go elsewhere. [LNB]Wenger triumphed in his battle with Barcelona by keeping Cesc Fabregas at the Emirates for another season. [LNB]But the Arsenal manager did not rule out leaving after this campaign. The chances of Fabregas staying, should his mentor go, are close to zero. [LNB] Worst nightmare: Wenger admits it could be his last chance to find a new challenge away from Arsenal[LNB]Wenger, who has previously been courted by Barcelona and Real Madrid, said: 'If I go for a different challenge - I have been offered many challenges - it has to be now. That's a decision I have to make.' [LNB]Much may depend on whether Arsenal's youngsters can end their five-season wait for silverware. Should the Frenchman's youth development policy bear fruit, fans can expect him to see out his career at the north London club. [LNB]'If I extend my contract, it means I will finish my career at club level at Arsenal,' said Wenger, before turning his attention to his team's chances of translating their exciting football into trophies. [LNB] Head boy: New signing Chamakh looked impressive in Saturday's 6-5 win over Polish side Legia Warsaw[LNB]'We have to make that final hurdle, and that's linked with belief and experience and maturity,' he said. [LNB]'I think we can make the difference because the team is growing and this year will not be the same animal as last year. They will go into the big games and say, "Come on, let's show who we are now."' [LNB]Despite his words, Wenger wants to bring in another centre back and an experienced goalkeeper, although he is having the same kind of frustration as Barca over Fabregas. [LNB]Werder Bremen's Per Mertesacker and Montpellier's Emir Spahic are targets in defence, but their clubs wish to retain the stars. [LNB] Jeepers keepers: Fabianski (pictured) and rookie Szczesny shipped in five goals between them on Saturday[LNB]The same goes for Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer. Boss Mark Hughes said he had no intention of sanctioning the 37-year-old's dream move across the capital. [LNB]Having seemingly lost faith in Manuel Almunia, and with Lukasz Fabianski and Wojciech Szczesny letting in five between them in a 6-5 friendly win away to Legia Warsaw on Saturday, Wenger will hope to change Hughes's mind with an offer of around £4million.[LNB]  Sign up to our FREE Fantasy Football game - with £40,000 in prize money up for grabsCapello calls up Wilshire and Gibbs as Arsenal young guns come of ageDes Kelly: Don't let disloyal Cesc Fabregas stay as Arsenal skipperTop Gunners: Why Arsene Wenger's kids can finally claim the Premier League titleARSENAL FC
