Arsenal's Emmanuel Eboue fit to face Wigan after making remarkable return

Emmanuel Eboue has made a remarkable recovery from a knee injury which looked set to rule him out for six weeks and has declared himself fit for Arsenal's Carling Cup quarter-final against Wigan. [LNB]Remarkable return: Eboue is fit again for Arsenal[LNB]Eboue was carried off seven minutes from the end of last week's Champions League defeat in Braga and on Thursday, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed his worst fears. [LNB]'It is a medial ligament strain, grade one,' he said. 'He will be out for four to six weeks.' [LNB]Eboue's knee, however, was too swollen to scan until the weekend and results eventually proved that, despite the swelling, there had been no damage to the ligaments. [LNB]The 27-year-old Ivory Coast international trained normally on Monday and is included in the squad to face Wigan at the Emirates. [LNB]Robin van Persie is also in line for only his second Arsenal start of the season.
