Aaron Ramsey made his long-awaited return from injury on Tuesday with a 45-minute cameo in an Arsenal reserve team game against Wolves.[LNB]The Welsh international has been sidelined for almost nine months after suffering a broken leg in an over-zealous challenge by Stoke City's Ryan Shawcross. [LNB]Ramsey had been enjoying a breakthrough campaign at Emirates following a £5million move from Cardiff City in 2008, when he was left with a broken tibia and fibula at the Britannia Stadium. [LNB]Ramsey, who only rejoined the first-team squad earlier this month, impressed during his brief appearance, suggesting that the harrowing injury has not withered any of his talent. [LNB]He showed impressive appetite for the game, hassling and hurryingthe opposition and also created a handful of chances when inpossession. [LNB]Understandably Ramsey showed signs of tirednessas the first-half drew to a close. His withdrawal during the interval, though, had been pre-planned. [LNB]In the same game Arsenalgoalkeeper Manuel Almunia made his return to action following a shortspell on the sidelines. The Spaniard also played 45 minutes in the game Arsenal won 2-1, with all the goals coming in the second half.[LNB]He first got back to using a ball last month, and at the time said:'I've been doing strengthening exercises and those sort of things for along time now. I'm starting to feel the benefits and I'm outsidetraining with the fitness coach, and I feel good.[LNB]'It's great to be back outside and kicking the ball again. I missed it for a long time, but it's such a good feeling to be back outside.[LNB]'I'm a very motivated guy. I've missed a lot [of football] and it's made me realise how much it means tome. Now I just want to get back and start doing what I used to do.'[LNB]Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was delighted with Ramsey's progress and added at the time: 'He is back running and he is back kicking the ball. You would be amazed if you saw him in training, he has suddenly in the last month made a huge step forward. If I consider now when I look at him, you see his smile again.[LNB] Nightmare: Ramsey was carried off with a double leg break against Stoke in February[LNB] 'He has changed since six months ago because he has the feeling that the worst is behind him and everyday he is getting closer to what he wants to be, and that means being a football player.[LNB]'He comes from so far that certainly he had deeper doubts in his mind. Now he knows that again he will be a football player he wants to hurry up and make it happen as quickly as possible.[LNB]'But just for him to have the ball again and to be outside training is a fantastic sensation.'[LNB]  Please protect us!
