Arsenal will look to capitalise on a weekend of Premier League action without Chelsea to pull level on points with their London rivals as the race for the title intensifies.
They will be confident of succeeding in their mission as they face the league's worst away side at the Emirates Stadium.
Burnley have collected just one point from a possible 42 on their travels in the top-flight this campaign and have conceded 43 goals - more than any other side in the Premier League era after 14 away games.
The key man for the Gunners will undoubtedly be Cesc Fabregas, who has either scored or assisted 26 of Arsenal's Premier League goals this season - no player in the league has had a hand in more than the Spaniard.
It was Fabregas who was influential in turning a draw into a victory in their last league match against Stoke, after scoring from the penalty spot and setting up Thomas Vermaelen's goal in stoppage time.
In their league meeting in December, Burnley earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw with the Gunners at Turf Moor.
Graham Alexander scored from the spot for Burnley in that game following a seventh-minute strike from Fabregas for Arsene Wenger's team.
Burnley have a quartet of players ready to return to first-team action soon, but this game could come to early for Graham Alexander, Steven Caldwell, Chris McCann and Christian Kalvenes.
Meanwhile Arsenal will be missing Alex Song through suspension, but Abou Diaby is expected to return from injury to fill the void in central midfield.
Aaron Ramsey is a long-term absentee for the Gunners following his terrible injury last weekend at Stoke, but Vermaelen hopes that they can use their anger over the Welshman's injury to fuel their title ambitions.
"We are now closer again and will try to win every game now," said the Belgium defender.
